Hello beautiful people!
I am finally back, after what seems like forever. I apologize for not posting for quite some time. Being a full time grad student and working full time on top of balancing my day to day life, can get overwhelming and extremely busy sometimes, so this took a backseat for a bit. However, I am back and because I have been brainstorming while I was gone, I will have a bunch of new content to share with everyone!
Evident from the title, I will finally be sharing my April favorites along with my May faves. I didn’t have much faves for April so I figured I would wait until after the month of May to share. They have definitely accumulated at this point, so hopefully you’ll all enjoy seeing what beauty and non-beauty faves I have been reaching for these past two months, or pretty much what I have been newly obsessed with!
Beauty and skin care faves:
For beauty, I have been reaching for my Becca Cosmetics highlight in Champaign Pop quite often. This is by no means a new product for me, I’ve had it for a while, but I am really loving the glow it gives me. I think it looks great for the spring and summer time, so I will definitely be using this throughout the upcoming summer season! Another beauty favorite has also been the Real Techniques beauty sponge, pictured above. It works just as well as a Beauty Blender, at a fraction of the cost. If you are looking for a dupe for the Beauty Blender, I highly recommend trying out of these beauty sponges! I have also been obsessed with a newer Maybelline Matte Lipstick that I purchased back in April, called Almond Rose. It is a beautiful pinky-nude that would look great on all skin types. If you have been following me for a while, you’ll know how much I love and rave about the Maybelline Matte Lipsticks! Another lip favorite has been this new lip product I purchased from my brother’s girlfriend (@juliedarcey on instagram, if you would like to try out these lippies! Let her know I recommended you!). The brand is called LipSense, and they are lipsticks that apply like lipgloss, but they stay on your lips for HOURS. I’m not kidding when I say that these lipsticks do not budge! The clear gloss helps lock the color in place, and what I love most is that these lippies do not dry your lips out and suck the life out of them. Ladies, I know you know what I am talking about. We all love those ever popular matte lipsticks, but I think we can all agree that if we could go without dry, cracking lips, we would. There is also a “gloss” that has a matte finish that can be used with any of the lipsticks. My last beauty favorite is nothing new to me, but is something that has become extremely useful once I decided to use it for its current purpose. If you recall, I purchased the Morphe Copper Dreams brush set a while back (see here to read all about my review on it), and I have found the perfect use for one of the brushes! The brush pictured above is absolutely PERFECT for applying highlight. It is soft but picks up product so well, so it applies highlight beautifully. Since I started using it for highlight, no brush has compared to its performance!
As for skin care, I have fallen in love with the Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm. It is gentle on my skin and takes off all my makeup with no problems. There is also so much product for the price, which is a great plus! I have had this for over two months and I have barely made a dent in the tub. Another skin care product that I have been loving is the Sunday Riley UFO Face Oil. It is used to balance acne-prone skin, and ever since I started using it, I can definitely see a difference. While it may be pricey for a small amount of product, it works great and actually lasts a long time. If you are looking to up your skin care game, and you struggle with the same skin issues as me, I really recommend trying this face oil.
If you follow me on Instagram (@audrieferr), you already know how obsessed I am with my new travel accessory. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love everything marble. I knew I had to have this carry-on when I stumbled upon it. I love how chic and simple it is, and I can’t wait to take this along on my adventures!
Another favorite of mine is the pair of Vans I am wearing in the above picture. Those are the platform version, which is great for me since I am so short (struggles), the little bit of added height is great! For the past few months I have also been slightly obsessed with overall dresses like the one I am wearing above.
Alright, if you all thought you would be getting a favorites post without some Disney, you were very wrong. I often get that whole “when I think of Disney, I think of you,” from many people I know, and I am not ashamed. When Coach launched their collection for the Coach Outlets, I knew I HAD to shop. I bought the white satchel and pins from the line, and I couldn’t be happier!! The satchel is a perfect size and fits just the right amount of necessities, for either day to day activities, or for a day at the parks. The Mickey details are simply adorable and add the perfect touch of Disney. As someone who has been a fan of the enamel pin trend, I couldn’t resist the cute little Mickey pins that are part of the line. These might just be collector items for me, but who knows, maybe I will stick those on my denim jacket for a Disney Day or on one of my denim overall dresses…!
Last but certainly not least …. more Disney items (lol). I can’t help but rave about my Cindy inspired dad hat from Whositsandwhatsits, as well as my Dooney and Bourke backpack. Not pictured, I also have the Ariel inspired dad hat, a MAJOR favorite of mine. I am a huge fan of Disney dad hats because of their simplicity, so when the Princess line came out, I snagged these babies instantly. As for my Dooney and Bourke backpack, I had been going back and forth between purchasing it or not because it was so pricey. Obviously, I couldn’t say no at the end, and I am so happy I bought it. This might be the most perfect Disney Day backpack for those full day trips to the parks. It fits so many items and is very comfortable to wear around the parks all day. I love the colors, design, and the adorable colorful zipper touch – soooo Disney amiright?

I cannot believe summer is just around the corner. I can’t wait to fit in some fun adventures in between work and grad school (fingers crossed that I can). I’m sure I’ll be making Disney trips with my boyfriend, but hopefully we’ll be able to explore and go on some other adventures! Do you have any cool summer plans? I’d love to see what everyone is up to!
Until next time, beautiful people!
