Review: Lorac Beauty and The Beast Makeup Line

Hello Beautiful People!

I have been off the radar again for quite some time, and for that I apologize. I hate not being able to write or share my experiences with everyone. Grad school and working full time really doesn’t allow me much time to do what I love best, which is devoting time to this website. I am hoping I will be better able to write more in the upcoming months, as I have a TON of fun things planned. If I am ever inactive on this website, please do not hesitate to stop by my IG @audrieferr, or my Disney IG @missdisneydarling! I am more active there for the time being!

Now, back to why we are all here today! I bought items from the Beauty and The Beast line from Lorac, way back when it first came out. Well over a month ago! However, I had missed out on the lipsticks from the line, as they had sold out. I was determined to get them when they restocked, and voila! I got those in recently, and I couldn’t be more obsessed, so I wanted to finally share my haul and mini review with everyone!

First off, how insanely beautiful is the packaging on this line?! It truly captures the beauty of Beauty and The Beast, which is just a plus for someone like me. As we all know, I am such a sucker for anything Disney, especially Disney makeup, so the second I heard about the release of this rather secret line, I knew I HAD to get some of the pieces. The launch of this line was such a surprise for me at least, so I was happy to have found out a little bit in advance. For those who are familiar with the line, you have noticed that I didn’t buy everything… but I was not super interested in the blushes (lippies and eyeshadow palettes are my thing), so I opted out of it this time around. Who knows, maybe in the future I’ll purchase the blushes if they are still available (don’t get me wrong, they still look so pretty!). Keep in mind though friends, this is a limited edition collection, so if you find something you are interested in – you might want to pounce on it right away!

Now onto the review. I personally found the shadows quite beautiful and pigmented. I have played around with them and I do think they are worth the money. The eyeshadow palette alone is exceptionally beautiful, so if anything, it is a great collectors item for those of us who are Disney fans. Overall, the shadows were velvety, pigmented, and included a fun range of colors representative of the movie and characters (adorable!).

As for the glosses, I am really not a fan of glosses in the first place, but lately I have been into layering gloss on top of my lipsticks and this line just helped bring that out of me even more. The glosses are great alone, but they really vamp up any lip look once layered onto lipstick. Obviously, they work and look best with the lipsticks on the line, as they are made to match them. But, you can use these with any lipstick you choose as well.

While I don’t have swatches of the lipsticks for everyone, I want to point out that if anyone wants to purchase either the glosses or the lipsticks, I will always vouch for the lipsticks. I have used them a few times since I purchased, and the lipsticks are honestly beautiful on the lips and not drying whatsoever. I would have to say that the shades provided, also work well on any skin tone, which is something I always look for in any lipstick set.

Overall, I would recommend this line, especially for Disney lovers like me. The eyeshadow palette and lipstick set are my favorites. You can really create any look with them, from day to night, and that is the best part in my opinion. If you are interested in checking this line out, it is available at Ulta and the Lorac website!

Here are a couple of pictures to show the detail and beauty of this adorable line:
